We had a high privilege of photographing Sean + Laura’s wedding this past May. Laura started her day at the Hotel Vancouver having her hair and make-up done by the talented Melanie of Mink Hair & Makeup. There ceremony took place at Oakridge United Church that afternoon where they both gave their vows surrounded by close friends and family, and piano played by Ken Hutchinson-Surette, and wedding ceremony led by Rev. Maggie Watts-Hammond. My favourite parts of the ceremony included moments where Sean and Laura gave some of the most elated looks I’ve ever seen between two people as they stood at the altar. Friends and family greeted them outside the church before they drove to VanDusen Botanical Garden for the final legs of their wedding day adventure. At VanDusen, we took photos around the property while guests enjoyed an hour or so of cocktails and canapés with live music by harpist Rebecca Blair. We walked around the garden on a very warm afternoon and stopped at one of my favourite locations, the [in]famous VanDusen maze. We returned to a filled room of eager guests at the newly built hall at the Visitor’s Centre near the entrance to the Gardens. The cake created by Ganache Patisserie was simply beautiful and the delicious food catering was provided by Louise Gervais Fine Foods, served family style to their guests. A candy table by Frankie’s Candy Bar opened at the end of the dinner service as live music by Goby Catt Band played for Laura + Sean’s first dance. I can’t say enough about what a wonderful day we had spending time with Laura + Sean. The authentic joy and excitement they showed throughout the day of the wedding made for many effortlessly beautiful photos, and it’s days like these that reaffirm my love for what I do.

Beautiful pictures!
Awesome work as always!
I love the couple shots under the veil, the light is really beautiful. The bridal prep shots are great too. Really loved this.
Absolutely gorgeous couple! Congrats; from an old friend of the bride's Mother. Photos are are wonderful; so fun to see the marriage took place at the same old church where your Mom & I once attended.
That picture of the bride laughing is just so sweet!
