Rachel + Colby were held their wedding reception at Hazelmere Golf & Tennis Club this past August and were married earlier in the day at Guildford Church of the Nazarene in Surrey. It was one of those overcast summer days where it could have rained any moment – and it did, but only for five minutes. After a light blessing of rain, the rest of the day was beautiful and comfortable. When I walked in and saw Rachel’s wedding dress from Ivory Bridal hanging by the window on a wooden hanger, I just had to take a photo of it, because whomever put it there did a beautiful job of making it look magnificent. Many of the best moments that day were when Colby and Rachel shared their day with family and friends. Especially when she gave gifts to her bridesmaids and the little hugs and kisses to mom and dad. Each of her bridesmaids received a little unique gift, which was a hand carved wooden doll, each with a special meaning meant selected just for them. And of course Rachel received a gift from her groom as well. It came with a special love note and her expression when she opened the box of earrings with priceless. A beautiful bridal portrait with natural light by the window. One of the benefits of an overcast wedding day is the filtered light that creates soft natural portraits like these. And Colby got a little help from mom, dad, and his groomsmen as well. Before leaving for the wedding day first look, they celebrated a champagne toast at home. Wedding day first looks are special moments that are becoming more common. It’s a unique way for brides and grooms to see each other before the wedding ceremony. The pink bridesmaid dresses were the perfect color for the soft light we received that day. Then we spent some time near the beach taking photos of the couple before heading off for the official wedding ceremony at Guildford Church of the Nazarene in Surrey. Beautiful pink bridesmaid dresses by Donna Morgan. The soft colors of theses bridesmaid dresses along with their flower bouquet were perfect for the outdoor light that day.And Colby’s suit and groomsmen’s attire was from Moores Clothing for Men. Their wedding ceremony at Guildford Church of the Nazarene was a solemn, but relaxed celebration that brought on many joyful smiles as well as touching moments. The wedding reception decor at Hazelmere Golf Course was coordinated by Caelis Custom Events.
