This is a long overdue wedding post for Janis + Andrew’s Stanley Park Pavilion wedding. Thank Helen from the Stanley Park Pavilion for inquiring about weddings I had photographed there, because to my surprise, I hadn’t blog this beautiful wedding from a lovely English couple who crossed the pond just to celebrate their fabulous Spring wedding in Vancouver. With a beautiful May day on hand, we began at the Pavilion and spent the whole day there with family and guests.
Don’t you love it when ladies show up with hats for a sunny day wedding? Beyond the practical reasons, it just looks so classic for ladies to wear hats to weddings.
Janis looked stunning that afternoon. This photo was taken shortly after their fist look at Stanley Park.
Then Janis and Andrew went for a walk across one of the largest fields in Stanley Park. Other guests of the park were in awe of how splendid they looked together.
The ceremony was held outdoors on the lawn. It was a bright and sunny afternoon for a Spring wedding ceremony outdoors.
Purple (violet) has got to be one of my favourite colours for bridesmaid dresses. Especially for wedding venues that have a lot of green landscaping. Purple and green are complementary colours, so they just look perfect together.
Inside the Stanley Park Pavilion, the reception venue was decorated with purple and gold. Loved how they used tree branches as their centrepiece. Crystals and handing candles made for perfect ornaments for the branches.
The speeches were very memorable at the wedding reception, and the first dance was relaxed and fun. Andrew has a smile stuck to his face the whole day, and that included the evenings events as well. Thank you for inviting us to be a part of your magnificent wedding. Congratulations again.
