Brock House Weddings are some of the most beautiful weddings in Vancouver. It’s known as one of Vancouver’s best outdoor wedding venues. Brock House is located in Vancouver’s Point Grey neighbourhood and is adjacent to Jericho Beach, making it one of the most desirable locations if you love a west coast style outdoor wedding venues surrounded by nature.
The Brock House is a Tudor-style building that was built in 1912 as a private home. It was then occupied by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) until 1977. In 1978, the City of Vancouver took over ownership and management of the venue. It has hosted many small and large weddings over the past 40+ years – approximately 250 wedding a year (that’s a lot!). We’ve photographed dozens of wedding and events there, and know you’ll love it.
Brock House wedding ceremonies are usually held outdoors on the lawn at the back of the building, with seating for guests facing the beach and open water. The lawn is large and is able to accommodate a large number of guests.
Brock House wedding dinner or lunch receptions are hosted under a large white tent adjacent the Brock House Restaurant. We love the openness their tent. The tent’s walls can be opened for beautiful views of beach and water, or closed if you desire more privacy for your event. Your wedding guests will love being able to wander the property on a warm summer evening.
If you time your summer wedding just right, you may be treated to a fireworks celebration across the water at English Bay. Pay parking is available a half-block away, but there are a few parking spots also available at the venue for VIP guests, those with mobility-challenges, and wedding vendors.
In addition to weddings, they can also host birthday parties, corporate events, and other private celebrations. If you’re not planning an event, or just want to try out the location before you book, you can reserve a table at their restaurant, which is open seven days a week until 10:00pm.
How much does a Brock House Wedding Cost?
Wedding venue pricing may vary depending on the size of your wedding, the time of year, as well as day of the wedding. At Brock House, you can also book just the wedding ceremony, or both the wedding ceremony and wedding reception together. If you’re booking just the wedding ceremony, bookings usually happen in the early part of the day, and will have different pricing that ceremony and reception bookings, which often take place in the afternoon or later in the day.
Keep in mind that the afternoon and evening are usually more desirable in the summer months. Certain weekends during the summer are also extremely popular, so if you have your heart set on a long weekend, or during a Fireworks night, or other special date, be sure to book your wedding as early as possible. In some case, you may even need to book 18 – 24 months in advance.

For 2020, Brock House is hosting smaller wedding celebrations due to the COVID19 situation. They are able to host parties of up to approx. 50 people and are also accepting smaller wedding ceremonies and elopements.
