Anna and Shawn were married this past fall at Swan-e-set Bay Golf Resort in Pitt Meadows, BC, a 45 minute drive from Vancouver. It was a damp day as most Autumn days are in Vancouver, but that didn’t stop Anna and Shawn from celebrating like there was nothing but clear skies and sun. They decorated the venue to the nines and had simple, but beautiful center pieces and a rich gold, brown, and orange color theme (with the brown the orange coming mainly from their wedding favors boxes). I know how busy Shawn and Anna are in their professional lives, so I was blown away by how much planning and work they had put into their wedding. It was clear that every guest was impressed and some even in awe. They held their ceremony indoors due to the light rain, and the location couldn’t have been more perfect – tall windows on two sides of the room and it felt bright and spacious. The wedding photos were taken on the grounds of the resort, and despite the damp outdoors, the wedding party looked happy and comfortable the whole time. Vancouver wedding photographers don’t comment too much about wedding bands, but the band Shawn and Anna chose for their wedding was one of the best I have ever seen. Side One band is a Vancouver based group founded by Ron and Erin (Erin does wedding planning too). I think it was Alvaro who did music for the wedding ceremony, while the whole band played later that evening. The vocals and beats were awesome and got almost everyone out of their chairs dancing that night. No one could resist. They played rock and pop hits that are familiar to just about everyone at the wedding. The band kept the dance floor going til near the end. It was a splendid event and Swan-e-set did an excellent job once again hosting another beautiful wedding. Congratulations Shawn and Anna for such a amazing wedding celebration!
